Just starting out with MediaFront today. I've created a media content type with uploaded videos and an OSM player. I've uploaded several kinds of video, with variable results:
.mov, Apple MPEG4 + AAC: Plays sound but no video
.m4v, Apple MPEG4 + AAC: Plays sound but no video
.mp4, Apple MPEG4 + AAC: Plays sound but no video
.mov, H.264 + AMR: Plays video but no sound
Mac OS X, Firefox & Safari. The uploaded videos all play fine in the browser, just not the OSM player.
Finally - I did .mov and .mp4 H.264 + AAC which played video and sound and looked good.
I'm not seeing anything in the documentation about coding suggestions, limitations, etc. but it looks like H.264 works and AAC works.
