About The Design

Pak (Pakpoom Fungtaweesrivilai ), lead designer on the project. After the design was presented to us, was asked the reason for the design. His reply as he sees it, un-edited (English is his 2nd language):

“The background original idea was 'free,' both in terms of 'free of charge' for the player, 'free to change the code' since it is open source, and 'freedom of information' to help people. So I used hot air balloons. Something to give a sense of no pressure, free to do anything.

As for the footer, since I don't just like something up in the air forever (the whole site's theme). I gave the bottom part a ground for things to land. It is a lawn and it has our site map on it; people can come and find anything in the site here.”

We all feel that his answer carries over to the core of the project and what we feel and want the project to be. You will notice that sponsors of the project do get spaces in the design. This is something just to say thanks to people that have given their resources to help the project start, grow and remain free and open.
